This is an exciting opportunity for a Consumer or Sensory Scientist specialist within the Food Research Theme at the University of Reading. The post is funded by EIT Food with PepsiCo, VTT (Finland) and Siemens as partners.
The purpose of this innovation project is to support healthy eating by developing a new food manufacturing technology concept for at-site customized production of healthy snacks. The idea is based on integration of ingredient and instant food manufacturing technologies combined with smart user-interface to support individual choices. Co-creation with consumers is in an important role in the activity and consumers will be involved in both the development and the testing phase of the snack concept.
You will be working within the University of Reading but in close collaboration with all partners. This is project is funded for one year currently, although the vision is to extend to a second year depending on the success of the first year.
