You will join the Geomatics (Geospatial Engineering and Sciences) team in the School of Engineering. You will carry out research in SAR remote sensing and its applications in agriculture, specifically crop yield monitoring and mapping. You will disseminate your work via leading international journal publications and conferences, and may also contribute to the engagement activities of the School.
You will have a PhD in SAR remote sensing, computing, agriculture or a closely related scientific/engineering field, completed by the time of appointment (no later than January 2019). You should have a proven or emerging track record of self-motivated progress in academic research, including publication in peer-reviewed journals, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. You must have high-quality written and oral communication skills in the English language.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months in the first instance, although there is expected to be potential for continuation subject to external funding and performance in the role.
