Lead Developer (Systems Integrations) In Oxford Brookes University

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Developer (Systems Integrations) to work within the Directorate of IT Services. This is a full time, permanent position.

The overall purpose of the role is to be responsible for developing, maintaining, configuring and deploying enterprise software, for example Oracle database, java applications, student record system integrations, supporting implementation of the University's Student record System.

As Lead Developer you will be:

  • A key member of Oxford Brookes' Information Services team, developing, maintaining, configuring and deploying enterprise software, for example Oracle database, java applications, student record system integrations
  • Advising on best practice methods for integration with university initiatives such as the new Data Warehouse and the Student Records System, ensuring there is a good conceptual fit with the software solutions
  • Researching, reviewing, and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Brookes development languages, platforms and tools. Contributing towards the cost analysis of software developments.

You should have:

  • Substantial experience, as part of a team, of developing, maintaining, configuring and deploying software to deliver enterprise IT services
  • Experience of software installation, administration and management
  • Evidence of effective Business Analysis and requirements gathering from non-technical users and end users
  • Knowledge and experience of a range development tools and software
  • Experience of implementing and deploying third party software solutions and of software integration.
