The Department of Creative Technology, within the Faculty of Science and Technology, is seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and motivated KTP Associate in the area of Virtual Reality Prototype Development for Healthcare Applications. The Department specializes, both in teaching and research, in the areas of games technology and music production and has attracted in the recent past funding from the EU and Innovate UK, amongst others.
This KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) Associate role is funded by Innovate UK and My mHealth and is a collaborative project between Bournemouth University and My mHealth, focused on the development and evaluation of an innovative virtual reality (VR) prototype application for stress and anxiety management. You will be based predominantly in the My mHealth premises, a leading NHS app provider, located in the centre of Bournemouth and will be working with both a number of company employees and also Bournemouth University academics. Applications with expertise in the following areas are particularly welcome; virtual and/or mixed and augmented reality software development, contemporary game engines such as Unity or Epic Games’ Unreal, C#/C++, Java/Python and project management approaches (such as agile/SCRUM). You will need to have a first degree in a Computer Science or games development related area.
